I Don't Give a Care Podcast

CREATING THE COVER & THE INSPIRATION
I've had a dream to start a podcast for a few years now, and I finally made that a reality. My new podcast is called the I Don't Give a Care Podcast found on Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube!

My vision for the album cover was to include all of my favourite bands and artists, the band tee design I created for my brother, and to write on the mirror in lipstick, "I Don't Give a Care". I was going for an 80's-90's grunge, retro, punk, and vintage vibe. I wore animal print and also incorporated a disco ball.
The name was inspired by one of my brother Ryan's popular quotes, who was the embodiment of not caring about what other people thought, telling it like it was, standing up for others and for what's right, and living as his authentic self. He inspires me to chase after my dreams, to use my voice to tell my story, and to help others start living for themselves instead of everyone else.

SHARING MY PODCAST
WITH THE WORLD
With thousands of other podcasts out there, I knew I had to be different and create a lasting impression to get people's attention. Instead of just posting the photos from my photoshoot, I decided to design visuals to go along with the photos.
The visual identity for my podcast is rooted in self-expression, nostalgia,
and not caring about perfection.
The aesthetic I was going for was disco meets 90's, bold, chaotic, rebellious and retro vibes. I layered bold colours, vintage textures, pop-culture references, magazine cutouts and repetition to reflect the unfiltered conversations
that we'll be having on my podcast.
LISTEN TO
"I DON'T GIVE A CARE", OUT NOW.
Creating this mini trailer + the intro for the podcast, was definitely one of my favourite creations so far that came from this entire project.
I incorporated trippy visuals and music, a few videos I took with my camera, videos of me talking in my podcast and running around, and lastly, childhood camcorder videos of me and my siblings who both inspire me to not "give a care".
This video feels like me, and also feels like how I want to represent the podcast.
